Description

We are seeking a Day Porter or to work at Uwajimaya. This position will be a customer-service oriented professional who is committed to providing tenants with exceptionally clean premises and a great personal experience.   • Wage: $20 - $23 per hour; DOE
  • Schedule:  Standard Schedule Fridays: 7am – 4:30pm, Saturdays: 11:30am – 9pm  

                         Temporary coverage ( covering staff while out starting next week and until further notice ) 

                        Monday – Wednesday: 10:30am – 9:00pm, Fridays: 7am – 4:30pm, Saturdays: 11:30am – 9pm

A Day in the Life

  • Cleaning duties of all common areas including but not limited to hallways, community rooms, fitness center, dog lounge, entry ways, and garage including vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and other various cleaning tasks throughout property.
  • Ensure maintenance of grounds including but not limited to removal of debris/litter, emptying trash, and pressure washing.
  • Clean all windows and glass doors within reach.
  • Proactively address foreseeable custodial concerns.
  • Report any maintenance issues to Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Oversee sanitary condition of trash and recycling containers.
  • Conduct resident interaction with the highest level of customer service and positive, will-do attitude.

Requirements

  • 2+ years general custodial experience
  • Some maintenance experience or equivalent training is preferred
  • Ability to prioritize work in an effective manner
  • Have self-starting attitude and initiative
  • Flexibility, openness and willingness to learn and try new things
  • At least two years working with the general public preferred
  • Must have good organizational skills and follow directions
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. 
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the site.
  • Weekend availability required.
