Food Sanitation Specialist Job Description

 

The Food Sanitation Specialist performs general dishwashing duties to ensure the cleaning and sanitizing of dishes, utensils, pots and pans.

 

Basic Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitize dinnerware, utensils and trays are available to diners without delay
  • Clean/sanitize all equipment and utensils using mechanical, manual or other established methods.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

 

  • Adhere to the Company rules and regulations as set forth in the employee handbook.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications:

 

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to wash dishes, utensils, and pots and pans within food service environment,
  • Available to work any schedule during hours of operation to include nights, weekends and/or holidays,
  • Pass a background check.
  • Provide proof of identify and authorization to work in the U.S.

 

Physical Requirements:

 

  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Push and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Stand and move within assigned work area for 6 to 7 hours per day, excluding breaks and lunch).
  • Some bending, stooping, and reaching as necessary to complete tasks.
