Team Overview BlackRock SMA Solutions helps clients customize portfolios for outstanding tax, values-alignment, or investment exposures across direct indexing, fixed income, active equity, and multi-asset. About the Role The Onboarding Team leads the onboarding of portfolios and supports account maintenance within the retail channel. Onboarding sits at the center of BlackRock's Sales, Portfolio Management, Investment Operations, and Corporate Functions teams across all regions. We work diligently and act swiftly as a cohesive, collaborative team whose outstanding individuals are passionate about delivering outstanding client service. Key Responsibilities - Onboarding of new SMA client accounts within BlackRock's retail channels. - Accurate and timely responses to all requests coming into the SMA New Accounts Onboarding team from internal partners & external clients. - Collaborate with sales and relationship teams to clarify business requirements for successful client onboarding. - Foster positive relationships with our internal collaborators (Sales, Portfolio Managers) by actively listening to their needs and consistently delivering results for the firm. - Manage time between day-to-day responsibilities and project involvement. - Liaise with senior management in weekly/monthly meetings. - Understand and interpret the differences in the various BlackRock products. - Seek out opportunities for improving execution and minimizing risks. Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in brokerage, institutional banking operations, financial reconciliation or financial services required. - Strong client leadership skills, service philosophy, and risk mitigation mentality required. - Experience and knowledge in the investment management/asset management business. - Experience directly or indirectly supporting Retail & Institutional clients. - Knowledge of the different participants in the fund management business and their roles. - Excellent organizational skills & attention to detail. - Solid experience in identifying and implementing process improvements. - Ability to prioritize effectively and adhere to tight deadlines. - Comfortable working with Excel and Access. - Knowledge of BlackRock's internal processes and products is a plus.
