Job Purpose:
Guard, patrol, and monitor client properties to prevent theft, violence and/or violations of building properties
Essential Resposibilities and Duties:
- Patrol premesis to detect and prevent unwanted activity
- Consistently enforce all company, client, and building policies and procedures
- Ensure safety and security of all building occupants and property
- Maintain professional demeanor and excellent service delivery
- Document and report all irregularities in a timely manner
- Respond to emergency and unusual situations as necessary or directed
- Complete safety/incident reports as required in accordance with written policy
- Performs as a team player to support co-workers, supervisors, and management
- Perform other duties as directed by Black Knight Security management
Skills/Qualifications:
- Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote security operations for the protection of people, property, and data
- Understanding of customer service principles and the ability to apply them on a routine basis to promote satisfactory customer relations
- Functional understanding of how to respond in emergency or unusual situations
- Excellent oral/written communication, time management, and organization
- In-depth knowledge of all assigned site security positions and post assignments
- Ability to constructively give/receive direction, criticism, and instruction
- Ability to communicate to a diverse population
- Familiar with CCTV and other security technology present at site
- Knowledge of facility mechanical/electronic equipment
Physical Requirements:
- Extensive periods of standing, sitting, walking
- Able to ascend and descend steps multiple times during an eight (8) hour shift
- Able to routinely lift items up to 25 lbs.
- Able to see, hear, speak, smell, and use hands sufficiently to task
- Able to work in all weather conditions
- Able to stand up to 30 minutes per hour during an eight (8) hour shift
