The Field Service Engineer is a customer-facing role responsible for on-site support of electrical load bank rental projects in mission-critical data center environments. This position works directly with data center operators, commissioning agents, general contractors, and electrical teams to safely deploy, operate, and support load bank testing of generators, UPS systems, and power infrastructure. The engineer ensures load bank equipment is properly configured, operational, and compliant while delivering a high level of technical support during critical testing activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with electrical equipment, power systems, or industrial/mechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Comfortable working in active data center and construction environments.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to customer sites.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience supporting data center commissioning or power system testing.
• Hands-on experience with resistive or reactive load banks.
• Familiarity with generators, UPS systems, switchgear, and power distribution units.
• Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and data center safety practices.
• Strong customer service and on-site communication skills.
Responsibilities:
• Provide on-site field engineering support for data center load bank rental projects.
• Assist customers with equipment setup, load application, and operational guidance during generator and UPS testing.
• Perform troubleshooting and minor repairs on electrical load bank equipment in the field.
• Support commissioning activities by monitoring performance, documenting results, and identifying issues.
• Communicate directly with customers to resolve issues quickly during time-sensitive testing events.
• Coordinate with internal service, operations, and engineering teams to support project execution.
• Complete service documentation and testing reports accurately and professionally.
• Participate in travel and flexible scheduling to meet customer and project demands.

Customer-focused communication skills are critical when supporting data center clients during mission-critical testing activities. Strong electrical troubleshooting abilities enable the engineer to identify and resolve issues quickly under time-sensitive conditions. Knowledge of load bank operation, power systems, and heat dissipation ensures safe and accurate testing.
