POSITION SUMMARY:
The BK Claims Analyst I plays a pivotal role in Bankruptcy case administration under U.S. Bankruptcy Code Chapter 11, working with the US team to support overnight service requests by accurately entering, formatting, and uploading case-related information into the internal database. The primary scope of work extends to processing Proofs of Claim, extracting key information from court documents, and maintaining data integrity across all active bankruptcy case records.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the accurate entry of Proofs of Claim and related case data in accordance with U.S. Bankruptcy Code Chapter 11, ensuring compliance with court procedures, internal quality standards, and applicable deadlines.
- Review court documents, claim forms, and ECF filings to extract key structured information; format and upload data into the internal database in accordance with client-specific and case-specific requirements; and log all relevant details into the internal database.
- Perform quality checks on entered records to identify and correct discrepancies, duplicate entries, or missing data fields, ensuring the integrity and completeness of the database at all times.
- Process overnight service requests from the US team by keying claim and case data with a minimum typing speed of 60 WPM, maintaining accuracy and consistency across high-volume data entry tasks.
- Accurately interpret and transcribe handwritten documentation, including cursive claim forms and supporting documents submitted by creditors and claimants.
- Deliver training to both existing and new associates on data entry procedures, formatting standards, and database upload protocols, ensuring alignment with performance standards.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor’s degree in any stream.
- Proven 2 - 4 years of experience in US-based MNCs.
Knowledge of US Legal/Bankruptcy will be an added advantage.
