Provide construction inspection services for client construction projects associated with Distribution, Transmission, Storage and Production pipelines and facilities. Pipeline and facility inspections shall include but not limited to: plastic and or steel pipelines of various sizes and pressures, pipeline repair, replacement and relocations, mainline extensions, storage well piping, compressor station installation, and measurement and regulation facility installation, and integrity management activities.
In addition to job site inspection, inspectors shall, attend pre bid meetings, be operator qualified if applicable, be fully equipped (off road vehicle, line locating equipment, fire extinguisher, safety kit, FR clothing, air monitors, cell phones, laptop, tablet or equivalent, with bar code reading capabilities), basic office supplies, and all appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Goals:
- Verify that operator qualified individuals are qualified to perform assigned task
- Assure all Client Work is done in a safe and environmentally compliant manner
- Assure accurate quantity and material verification
- Limit any additional work
- Document any work deviation authorizations from the plan
- Assure Third-Party Contractor work is completed per client Standard Operation Procedures (SOP)
A thorough knowledge and understanding of:
- Design/bid drawings
- Permit requirements (RR, stream, NPDES, etc)
- Right of way documents
- SOP’s and DOT CFR 192 regulations regarding natural gas pipelines and systems
- Qualified in client’s Integrity Management Program fundamentals
