We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer / Senior Design Engineer with strong expertise in Siemens NX and extensive experience in stamped sheet metal components / BIW (Body-in-White) design. The candidate will be responsible for developing, modifying, and validating automotive stamped parts while ensuring manufacturability, quality, and compliance with customer standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop stamped sheet metal components, assemblies, and BIW structures using Siemens NX.
- Create and modify 3D models, 2D drawings, and engineering documentation.
- Apply GD&T principles, tolerance stack-up analysis, and DFM/DFA methodologies.
- Work on closure systems, brackets, reinforcements, panels, and structural components.
- Ensure feasibility for tooling, stamping, welding, and assembly processes.
- Coordinate with CAE, manufacturing, tooling, and supplier teams for design validation.
- Support engineering change requests (ECR/ECN), design releases, and product updates.
- Perform root cause analysis for design/manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.
- Adhere to OEM/customer standards, quality requirements, and project timelines.
Required Skills:
- Strong proficiency in Siemens NX (3D modeling, drafting, assemblies).
- Solid experience in stamped sheet metal design / BIW engineering.
- Good understanding of:
- Stamping processes
- Welded assemblies
- Sheet metal manufacturing
- Tooling feasibility
- GD&T
- Tolerance analysis
- Experience in automotive product development lifecycle.
- Familiarity with PLM systems such as Teamcenter is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Expertise:
- BIW structures
- Automotive body closures
- Brackets and reinforcements
- Weld fixtures understanding
- Cost optimization and manufacturability improvements
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Automotive, or Production Engineering

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical degree
- CAD experience
- Proficient in Solidworks
- Strong organizational and communication skills
