[Fall 2025] Full-Stack Automation Intern

We have partnered with a stealth startup to hire a Full-Stack Automation Intern for Fall 2025. The role will last 12 weeks, will be paid, and will be in-person in San Diego, CA.

Mission

We are a stealth startup building fully automated coffee shops.

If you’ve ever been to SFO, you may have seen the concept in action; however, you have also noticed that these are not widespread. Our goal is to build automated coffee shops for the mass-market.

In this role, you’ll build the brain that connects our customer ordering experience with the robot actually making the drink. More concretely, you’ll be responsible for designing the order interface, integrating third-party services, and orchestrating a smooth, reliable flow from order to execution. This is a fast-paced, full-stack role ideal for a systems-minded builder who wants to own features end-to-end.

What You’ll Do

• Design a lightweight order UI (React or Flutter) for web or mobile
• Stand up APIs to communicate with the espresso machine SDK, payment processor, and ROS service layer
• Automate the full queue: order → robot task → status webhook
• Deploy everything to AWS or GCP using CI/CD with logging and basic observability

Must-Have Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a CS or EE degree program with at least one-semester to go; or equivalent bootcamp experience
• Familiar with Node.js or Python (FastAPI), REST/GraphQL APIs, Docker, and at least one major cloud platform
• Comfortable turning business logic into clean, testable, well-documented code

Nice-To-Haves

• Experience with MQTT or bridging to ROS systems
• Familiarity with Stripe, Square, or other payment APIs
• Exposure to DevOps tooling like Terraform, GitHub Actions, or CI/CD pipelines
