Ice Cream Maker/Connoisseur

We are seeking a passionate and creative Ice Cream Maker/Connoisseur to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for food and an eagerness to learn the art of ice cream making. This will be a permanent Monday to Friday position. Shift start times will vary depending on the season. This job requires flexibility with shift hours on a day-to-day basis and may include over time in the summer. As an ice cream maker, you will be responsible for keeping up inventory for Birchwood's famous ice cream. This includes making ice cream in 11.4L, 4L, 2L and 1L containers, in a variety of different flavours. Make ice cream Set up and take down of machines Cleaning Recording lot and production numbers Other duties as assigned Who is the ideal candidate? We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their position and creates the highest quality ice cream our customers have come to expect. You have good written and oral communication You can follow all standard operating procedures You are able to lift 25 kg and meet physical demands of the job You are honest, trustworthy, and reliable You are able to work independently without ongoing directions Previous work in food handling / production is an asset but not necessary Why work for Birchwood?
