Role Description The Biotechnology Laboratory Assistant will support day-to-day laboratory operations in a full-time, on-site role based in Ghazipur. Responsibilities include preparing and handling samples and reagents, assisting in the manufacturing and testing of homeopathic formulations, and operating basic laboratory equipment under supervision. The role involves maintaining accurate records, labeling and storing materials correctly, and following standard operating procedures and safety guidelines. The assistant will help with routine quality checks, cleaning and organizing laboratory spaces, and collaborating with senior staff to ensure smooth production workflows. This position requires attention to detail, adherence to regulatory standards, and a strong commitment to safety and hygiene in the lab environment.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of biology, biotechnology, or related life sciences, with the ability to understand basic laboratory methods and processes.
- Competence in handling laboratory glassware and equipment, including preparation of solutions, sample handling, and routine maintenance under guidance.
- Strong attention to detail for accurate data recording, labeling, documentation, and compliance with standard operating procedures.
- Awareness of laboratory safety practices, including proper use of personal protective equipment, hygiene standards, and safe handling of materials.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions, work collaboratively, and report observations clearly.
- Basic computer literacy for maintaining records, entering data, and using laboratory-related software or documentation tools.
- Diploma or degree in biotechnology, biology, pharmacy, or a related field is preferred; prior experience in a pharmaceutical or homeopathic laboratory is an advantage.
- Willingness to work in an on-site manufacturing environment in Ghazipur and adapt to structured, process-driven workflows.
