Position Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated and tech-savvy Biometric Operations Executive/ Assistant Manager / Manager to oversee the biometric attendance infrastructure and gatepass systems across campus. The role is responsible for managing biometric devices (face recognition/fingerprint), ensuring smooth operation of student and staff attendance systems, and supporting campus access control through an integrated gatepass platform.
The candidate will act as the bridge between IT, administration, and security teams to ensure data accuracy, system uptime, and compliance with institutional policies.
Key Responsibilities:
Biometric System Operations:
- Supervise the deployment, setup, and regular maintenance of biometric devices across classrooms, gates, and critical checkpoints.
- Ensure seamless operation of biometric face recognition systems for classroom attendance and campus entry/exit.
- Monitor device connectivity, uptime, and daily data sync with ERP/LMS systems.
Attendance Management:
- Oversee real-time attendance capture and validate records for students, faculty, and staff.
- Resolve attendance mismatches and device-level issues in coordination with the ERP/IT teams.
- Generate and distribute daily/weekly/monthly biometric attendance reports as required by departments.
Gatepass System Operations:
- Manage the integration and daily operations of the biometric-based gatepass system for students.
- Ensure all entry/exit events are accurately logged and synced with backend systems.
- Address exceptions and unauthorized access cases in coordination with the security team.
Coordination & Support:
- Coordinate with biometric vendors for AMC, device support, firmware updates, and troubleshooting.
- Train security personnel and support staff on the use and monitoring of biometric devices and software dashboards.
- Respond to queries from faculty/students/staff related to biometric attendance or gatepass issues.
- Ground Support to all students with Gatepass system Process with Face recognition device.
Compliance & Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with data privacy and institutional access control policies.
- Maintain documentation of device inventory, installation logs, system configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma / Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Applications, Electronics, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in biometric operations or access control systems, preferably in educational or institutional settings.
- Experience with Multi OEM face recognition systems like Mantra, Matrix, ESSL, or similar.
- Familiarity with gatepass systems or digital tools is preferred.
Work Conditions:
- On-campus presence required during academic hours and special events.
- Flexibility to support early morning/evening shifts or weekends based on campus schedules.
