Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Biomedical Equipment Specialist located in Penamaluru. The Biomedical Equipment Specialist will install, calibrate, test, and maintain ophthalmic diagnostic and surgical equipment, ensuring that all devices operate safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include performing routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and completing repairs in a timely and compliant manner. The role involves supporting clinical teams with equipment setup and user guidance, documenting service activities, and coordinating with manufacturers or internal teams for complex technical support. The specialist will also assist in inventory management of tools and spare parts, comply with safety and regulatory standards, and contribute to continuous improvement of maintenance procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Equipment Maintenance and Equipment Repair, with the ability to perform diagnostics, preventive maintenance, and corrective actions on biomedical devices.
- Hands-on experience with Medical Equipment, preferably ophthalmic diagnostic and surgical systems, including installation, calibration, and performance verification.
- Background in Field Service activities, including on-site support, service documentation, and customer interaction.
- Relevant technical training or Military Training in biomedical equipment or electronics servicing is an advantage.
- Diploma or degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related technical field.
- Knowledge of safety, regulatory, and quality standards applicable to medical devices (e.g., ISO, CE, hospital protocols).
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, ability to collaborate with clinical and technical teams, and readiness to work on-site in a structured, quality-focused environment.
