About the job
An Hospital is looking for a Biomedical Engineer to manage, maintain, and ensure the safe and efficient functioning of biomedical equipment across the hospital.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on knowledge of biomedical equipment maintenance, preventive and breakdown maintenance, vendor coordination, installation, testing, and calibration.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain biomedical equipment across the hospital
- Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of medical equipment
- Coordinate with AMC/CMC vendors and external service providers
- Support equipment installation, testing, commissioning, and calibration
- Maintain accurate equipment records, service reports, and maintenance documentation
- Monitor equipment performance and ensure timely servicing
- Ensure biomedical equipment meets required safety, functionality, and compliance standards
- Coordinate with hospital departments regarding equipment-related issues
- Maintain an updated inventory and service history of biomedical equipment
Qualifications
- B.E./B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering
- 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred
- Hospital/healthcare experience will be an advantage
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to coordinate effectively with vendors and hospital staff
