Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Biomedical Engineer role based in Butibori. The Biomedical Engineer will install, calibrate, and maintain medical and diagnostic equipment to ensure safe and reliable performance. Responsibilities include performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating repairs with vendors or service providers. The role involves supporting clinical and laboratory teams in the proper use of equipment, documenting service activities, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Biomedical Engineer will also assist in equipment planning, evaluation of new technologies, and continuous improvement of maintenance processes to minimize downtime and optimize equipment lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles in healthcare settings.
- Hands-on experience with Medical Equipment, including installation, calibration, and performance verification.
- Proficiency in Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance, with a focus on reliability, safety, and documentation.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.Tech) in Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline.
- Knowledge of medical equipment standards, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements in healthcare environments.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation, and to use diagnostic tools and test equipment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and manage multiple service requests.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with clinical staff, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to work on-site in Butibori and provide on-call or shift support as needed.
