Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Biology Teacher role based in Midnapore. The Biology Teacher will deliver engaging classroom sessions for NEET, IIT-JEE (Biology component), and foundation batches, following the academy’s curriculum and standards. Daily responsibilities include planning and structuring lessons, explaining complex biological concepts clearly, and using examples and diagrams to simplify topics. The role involves preparing and evaluating assignments and tests, analyzing student performance, and offering feedback and doubt-clearing support. The teacher will also participate in academic planning meetings, contribute to study materials, and maintain a positive, disciplined classroom environment that supports diverse learning needs.
Qualifications
- Strong subject-matter expertise in Biology with proven ability to teach high school and competitive exam syllabi (NEET, IIT-JEE foundation).
- Demonstrated Teaching and Lesson Planning skills, including structuring courses, pacing content, and designing assessments.
- Qualified Teacher with relevant academic background (Bachelor’s or Master’s in Biology, Life Sciences, or related field; B.Ed. or equivalent is an advantage).
- Effective Communication skills, including clear explanation of concepts, active listening, and constructive feedback to students and guardians.
- Experience in a coaching institute or competitive exam preparation environment is preferred.
- Ability to manage a classroom, motivate students, and adapt teaching methods for different learning levels.
- Comfort with basic digital tools for presentations, online resources, and maintaining student records.
