Biology Specialist (Masters/PhDs) - AI Training
About The Role
What if your years of advanced biology training could directly shape how AI reasons through the hardest problems in genetics, biotechnology, and bioinformatics? We're looking for Biology experts — Masters and PhDs — to help build and train cutting-edge AI models by contributing the kind of deep scientific thinking that machines are still learning to replicate.
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No AI background needed — just a rigorous scientific mind, deep domain expertise, and a commitment to precision.

What You'll Do
- Develop, solve, and review advanced biology problems with real-world scientific relevance
- Apply your expertise in genetics, biotechnology, bioinformatics, or related disciplines to design complex, challenging problem statements
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to enhance AI model reasoning and accuracy
- Evaluate scientific outputs for rigor, clarity, and depth — and push back where the science doesn't hold up
- Work independently on task-based assignments, fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
- Master's or PhD in Biology or a closely related field — Genetics, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, or similar
- Strong expertise in at least one of: genetics, biotechnology, or bioinformatics
- Comfortable coding in Python or R for research or data analysis
- Exceptionally clear written communicator with a sharp eye for scientific accuracy and detail
- Fluent in English and currently based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand
- Self-motivated and reliable when working independently without supervision
Nice to Have
- Prior experience with data annotation, data quality assessment, or AI evaluation systems
- Background in research communication, peer review, or science writing
- Exposure to machine learning, computational biology, or AI-adjacent tools
