Role Description The Biology, English – PU Board Syllabus Faculty role is a full-time, on-site position based in Karnataka, India. The faculty member will plan and deliver engaging classroom sessions aligned with the PU Board syllabus for Biology and/or English, including lectures, discussions, and practice exercises. Daily responsibilities include preparing lesson plans, creating and reviewing assignments, guiding students through exam-focused preparation for PU Board and entrance tests, and providing individual doubt-clearing support. The role also involves designing or adapting study materials, monitoring student performance, maintaining academic records, and collaborating with other faculty to ensure high-quality coaching. The faculty member is expected to participate in staff meetings, parent interactions when required, and contribute to maintaining a disciplined and motivating learning environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong subject expertise in Biology and/or English, with deep familiarity with the PU Board syllabus and related examination patterns.
- Candidates should possess skills in lesson planning, classroom instruction.
- Candidates should possess abilities in student mentoring, providing personal attention, doubt resolution, and performance tracking to support varied learning needs.
- Candidates should possess effective communication skills, including clear explanation of complex concepts, active listening, and constructive feedback to students.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in developing or using well-researched study materials, practice tests, and assessment tools to enhance examination readiness.
- Relevant academic qualifications such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Biology, English, Education, or a related discipline are required; prior experience teaching PU-level or competitive exam courses is highly beneficial.
- Candidates should possess strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple batches, adhere to schedules, and meet academic timelines.
- Experience with educational technology, basic computer skills, and a commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory teaching practices will be considered an added advantage.
