Role Overview
Cliniwave is looking for a passionate Bioinformatics Trainer to deliver industry-oriented training to students and professionals aspiring to build careers in bioinformatics, genomics, and computational biology.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver live, interactive training sessions in Bioinformatics
- Teach foundational to advanced bioinformatics concepts
- Train learners in sequence analysis, genomics, and NGS workflows
- Provide hands-on training using real biological datasets
- Guide students on tools, pipelines, and research workflows
- Support assignments, projects, and capstone mentoring
- Contribute to curriculum design and learning materials
Required Skills & Expertise
- Strong knowledge of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology
- Hands-on experience with sequence analysis & genomics data
- Familiarity with NGS data analysis workflows
- Proficiency in Python and/or R for biological data analysis
- Experience with Linux/Unix environments
- Familiarity with tools like BLAST, Clustal, and bioinformatics databases
- Understanding of statistics and biological data interpretation
- Prior teaching or corporate training experience preferred
