Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Biocompatibility Test Scientist located at IMT Manesar, Gurugram, Haryana. The scientist will design, plan, execute, and document day-to-day laboratory testing of medical devices and healthcare products.
Key Responsibilities
- Study Execution: Plan, execute, and report biocompatibility studies strictly as per ISO 10993 series standards.
- Testing Operations: Perform in vitro and in vivo biological evaluations (including cytotoxicity, irritation, sensitization, genotoxicity, implantation, etc.).
- Compliance & Quality: Ensure continuous adherence to GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and ISO/IEC 17025 compliance across all testing processes.
- Data & Reporting: Analyze experimental data, interpret findings, and prepare structured technical test reports for regulatory approvals and client requirements.
- Lab Management: Maintain analytical laboratory instruments, handle sample preparation, conduct routine calibrations, and maintain detailed documentation and laboratory records.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: M.Sc., B.Pharm, or B.Tech in Biotechnology, Microbiology, Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience: 1–5 years of hands-on experience in biocompatibility and medical device testing (Freshers with strong relevant academic knowledge and ISO 10993/GLP understanding may also apply for entry-level roles).
- Technical Knowledge: Strong foundation in ISO 10993 series, GLP practices, and laboratory analytical techniques.
- Skills: Excellent analytical capabilities, precise technical report writing, meticulous documentation habits, and strong communication skills.
