Role Description The BIM Modeler is a full-time, on-site role based in Palakkad. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining BIM models for MEP disciplines, ensuring that designs are accurate, coordinated, and compliant with project standards. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating 3D models, preparing construction drawings, integrating architectural and MEP elements, and supporting clash detection and design reviews. The BIM Modeler will work closely with project managers, engineers, and coordinators to interpret design inputs, incorporate revisions, and deliver well-organized documentation. The role also involves adhering to BIM execution plans, maintaining model integrity, and contributing to continuous improvement of modeling workflows.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in Building Information Modeling.
- Strong proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools and processes, with experience creating and managing detailed project models.
- Knowledge of MEP and ability to interpret MEP plans and sections for accurate model development.
- Experience as a Modeler, including 3D modeling, coordination, and documentation for building projects.
- Understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and their integration within multidisciplinary BIM models.
- Ability to produce clear and accurate Construction Drawings, including layouts, details, and schedules.
- Familiarity with industry-standard BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD & Navisworks), and basic understanding of BIM standards and protocols.
- Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow project guidelines and timelines.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with diverse project teams in an on-site environment.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering, building services, or a related field is preferred.
