Role Description The BIM MEP Engineer will be responsible for developing and managing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) models within BIM environments to support design development, coordination, and construction documentation. This full-time, on-site role in Rajouri Garden involves collaborating closely with architects, structural engineers, and building services professionals to ensure accurate, clash-free, and constructible MEP designs. Day-to-day tasks include creating and updating coordinated MEP models, performing clash detection and resolving design conflicts, preparing shop drawings and detailed system layouts, and supporting quantity take-offs and constructability reviews. The BIM MEP Engineer will also assist in model audits, interoperability checks, and integration of project information standards while adhering to Sanrachna’s BIM execution plans and quality control procedures. Participation in project meetings, on-site coordination activities, and continuous improvement of BIM workflows will be an integral part of the role.
Qualifications
experience: 4 to 8 years
- Candidates should possess strong Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) skills, including experience with integrated building services design and coordination.
- Candidates should possess plumbing-related skills, including design, modeling, and coordination of water supply, drainage, and related building services.
- Candidates should possess MEP coordination skills, including experience resolving clashes, aligning discipline models, and ensuring constructability of building services.
- Candidates should possess electrical engineering skills relevant to building services, including power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage system design within BIM environments.
- Proficiency with BIM authoring tools (such as Revit or similar platforms) and familiarity with clash detection software (e.g., Navisworks) are highly beneficial.
- Relevant educational background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of construction documentation, codes, and standards related to MEP systems.
