Work Schedule: Night Shift (Standardized for global project coordination)
Role Objective
The BIM Manager will be responsible for leading the strategic implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes, ensuring high-quality project delivery and managing a multi-disciplinary team during the night shift. This role requires a seasoned expert who can act as the final authority on BIM standards, workflows, and technical troubleshooting for complex, large-scale projects.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Team Management
Lead and mentor a team of BIM Coordinators and Modelers during the night shift, ensuring consistent productivity and alignment with project goals.
Conduct performance reviews and identify skill gaps, providing necessary training on advanced BIM software and methodologies.
Act as the primary point of contact for international clients or daytime teams to ensure seamless handovers and 24-hour project continuity.
2. Strategic BIM Implementation
Develop, implement, and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEP) and project-specific standards.
Establish and audit BIM workflows to ensure compliance with international standards (e.g., ISO 19650).
Oversee the management of the Common Data Environment (CDE) to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
3. Quality Assurance & Technical Oversight
Supervise complex clash detection and coordination processes, ensuring that design conflicts are resolved before the construction phase.
Perform high-level audits of 3D models for accuracy, data richness, and adherence to LOD (Level of Development) requirements.
Troubleshoot advanced technical issues within Revit, Navisworks, and other specialized software.
4. Process Automation & Innovation
Identify opportunities for automation using Dynamo, Python, or other scripting tools to enhance modeling efficiency.
Evaluate and integrate new AEC technologies (AR/VR, 4D/5D BIM) into the existing company framework.
Required Qualifications & Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related AEC field.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in BIM-centric roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial or lead capacity.
Software Mastery: Expert-level proficiency in:
Autodesk Revit (Architecture, Structure, and MEP)
Navisworks Manage
BIM 360 / Autodesk Construction Cloud
AutoCAD and Civil 3D
Technical Skills: Deep understanding of VDC (Virtual Design and Construction), parametric modeling, and data management.
Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, clear communication (written and verbal), and the ability to make critical decisions independently during shift hours.
Preferred Attributes
Professional certification in BIM (e.g., Autodesk Certified Professional).
Experience with Power BI for BIM data visualization and reporting.
Proven track record of managing large-scale international projects (Commercial, Healthcare, or Infrastructure).
