Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a BIM Engineer – Architecture, Civil & Structural (ACS) at Afrima Consulting Engineering Pvt Ltd, located in Madurai. The BIM Engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop BIM models, generate construction drawings, and ensure the accuracy of architectural, civil, and structural designs. Key responsibilities include coordinating with stakeholders, participating in project reviews, and implementing clash detection processes to enhance design precision and project delivery efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM) platforms and tools, with hands-on experience in implementing BIM workflows
- Strong knowledge of Construction Drawings and the ability to create detailed, accurate construction documentation
- Familiarity with Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and their integration into architectural and structural designs
- Educational background or practical expertise in Architecture or Civil Engineering
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Experience with clash detection processes and coordination between different design disciplines
- Knowledge of 4D/5D BIM processes and Quantity Takeoff (QTO) methods is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred
