Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a BIM Electrical Design Lead based in Bengaluru, India. The BIM Electrical Design Lead will oversee and execute electrical design tasks using Building Information Modeling (BIM) software. Responsibilities include designing electrical systems, planning power generation setups, selecting and specifying electrical equipment, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The lead will also liaise with cross-disciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs seamlessly into broader project objectives, ensuring innovation and adherence to the highest engineering standards.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership for electrical design on large-scale developments, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
- Define, implement, and maintain electrical design standards and best practices across projects.
- Review, approve, and sign off on electrical design deliverables, including BIM/Revit MEP models, drawings, and calculations.
- Lead and coordinate BIM activities related to electrical systems, ensuring accuracy, coordination, and constructability.
- Interface with clients, utility providers, statutory authorities, and other stakeholders to secure approvals and resolve technical issues.
- Support business development activities, including technical inputs for proposals, bids, and client presentations.
- Provide technical guidance to project teams during design development and delivery, with a strong focus on high-rise residential projects.
Mandatory Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BE/ME).
- Demonstrated leadership experience in Revit MEP–based BIM delivery for electrical systems.
- Proven experience in the design and delivery of high-rise residential developments.
Preferred:
- Experience in high-rise residential projects
