Role Description The BIM Coordinator – Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) is a full-time, on-site role based in Navi Mumbai. This role involves coordinating and managing BIM models for MEP systems, ensuring accurate integration of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing designs within overall project models. The BIM Coordinator will collaborate with design and engineering teams, review drawings and specifications, resolve model clashes, and maintain project documentation and version control. Daily tasks include updating BIM models, validating data consistency, supporting design changes, and facilitating coordination meetings with project stakeholders. The role also includes preparing model-based reports and contributing to continuous improvement of BIM workflows and standards across the organization.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in BIM software tools for MEP coordination (e.g., Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and related applications).
- Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, including design principles and construction practices.
- Experience with model coordination, clash detection, and resolving design conflicts in multi-disciplinary project environments.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation accurately.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with designers, engineers, contractors, and project managers.
- Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple BIM tasks within project timelines.
- Prior experience in BIM coordination for building or infrastructure projects; exposure to LIDAR or geo-spatial data integration is an advantage.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related engineering discipline; relevant BIM certifications are beneficial.
- Willingness to work on-site in Navi Mumbai and engage in cross-functional coordination within a structured project environment.
