Overview:
This individual will be responsible for managing technical aspects of all architectural
projects at the firm, from design development through construction administration. The Architect will oversee the production of Design Development & Construction Document
deliverables and specifications, including code analysis, and provide quality control, cost control
and constructability reviews. The Architect will be viewed as a technical expert and mentor
with recognized authority in production document development, building code compliance and
constructability as it relates to project delivery.
Job Responsibilities:
Researches, programs, plans, designs, and administers building projects for clients,
applying knowledge of architectural design, construction detailing, construction
procedures, zoning and building codes, and building materials and systems.
Produces conceptual plans, renderings, and documents.
Plans and programs layout of project(s); coordinates and integrates engineering elements
into unified design for client review and approval.
Meets with requesters to determine requirements of projects; determines feasibility of
project and prepares cost estimates.
Assists in conducting preliminary studies of proposed projects to obtain information as to
space and design requirements, obtaining measurements and making sketches preliminary
to the preparation of drawing.
Assists in the preparation of “record” drawings on completion of construction.
Assists in developing and/or coordinating development of detailed working drawings and
specifications after approval for project has been obtained.
Reviews work of contractor, verifying specified materials are being used, dimensions are
as drawn and quality is according to contract document.
Provides support to Architects and management staff.
Utilizes computer-assisted design software and equipment to prepare project designs and
plans.
Produces construction documents in AutoCAD and Revit.
Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project, etc.)
