Senior Bioinformatics Engineer, Oncology

The Senior Bioinformatics Engineer, Oncology will be responsible for developing and maintaining the bioinformatics pipeline for our oncology product line. This includes designing and implementing algorithms for variant calling, data processing, and reporting. You will work closely with the Research and Development team to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our oncology assays. Key responsibilities include: - Design and implement bioinformatics algorithms for variant calling, data processing, and reporting - Maintain and optimize the bioinformatics pipeline for our oncology product line - Collaborate with the Research and Development team to ensure the accuracy and reliability of our oncology assays - Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure the integrity of our bioinformatics data - Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in bioinformatics and genomics research - Contribute to the development of new bioinformatics tools and technologies Qualifications: - PhD or MS in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field - 5+ years of experience in bioinformatics, with a focus on variant calling and data processing - Proficient in programming languages such as Python, R, and/or Java - Experience with high-performance computing and cloud-based infrastructure - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
