Role Description
- Manage end-to-end billing cycle for oncology services, including chemotherapy, radiation, surgical oncology, infusion, and related ancillary services
- Supervise billing staff; assign workloads, conduct performance reviews, and provide training
- Ensure accurate coding and charge capture for complex oncology CPT/ICD-10 codes (e.g., drug administration codes, evaluation & management, pathology)
- Monitor claims submission, rejection, denial management, and appeals for Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers
- Oversee prior authorization processes for high-cost oncology drugs and procedures
- Track and report key revenue cycle KPIs: denial rate, days in AR, clean claim rate, collection rate
- Ensure compliance with CMS billing guidelines, regulations, and payer contracts
- Coordinate with clinical staff, coders, and physicians to resolve documentation deficiencies
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Billing Process, Invoicing, and Billing Systems
- Strong expertise in Revenue Cycle Management and related workflows
- Analytical Skills for assessing and resolving billing discrepancies and optimizing processes
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
- Strong interpersonal skills for team collaboration and client communication
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Prior experience in healthcare billing or hospital operations is a plus
