Shift: US Night Shift (5:30 PM – 2:30 AM IST)

Role Description
The Medical Billing Manager acts as the strategic bridge between US clients and the internal operations team. This role requires a leader focused on driving revenue optimization and proactive denial prevention while maintaining high standards of client communication. A core component of this role is the training, coaching, and mentoring of the operations team to ensure continuous professional growth and operational accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Operations-to-Client Bridge: Translate complex client needs into actionable tasks for the operations team; ensure operational delivery aligns with client financial goals.
Training & Mentorship: Actively coach and mentor team members to improve their billing expertise. Identify training gaps and conduct sessions to enhance performance and career development.
Revenue Optimization: Manage the end-to-end revenue cycle with a focus on maximizing gross and net collections.
Performance Monitoring (RCM Metrics): Track and report on critical KPIs, including:
- Clean Claim Rate and Denial Rate.
- Days in AR and AR Days (>90 days tracking).
- Paid in 30 Days (Collection velocity).
- Gross/Net Collection Ratios and Turnaround Time (TAT).
Denial Prevention: Proactively identify root causes of denials to implement workflow improvements, ensuring claims are resolved promptly.
Client Relationship Management: Conduct regular performance reviews with providers/administrators, providing strategic insights via professional verbal and email communication.
Team Leadership: Oversee daily operations, ensuring production targets and quality benchmarks are met through effective personnel management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Mandatory Experience: Prior leadership experience in both Operations Management and Client Relationship Management within the US Healthcare RCM
industry.Coaching Ability: Proven ability to train and develop staff, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
Communication Excellence: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills for high-level professional correspondence and client calls.
EHR Proficiency: Hands-on experience with modern billing platforms and financial reporting tools.
Functional Billing Knowledge: Strong understanding of the end-to-end billing cycle and US payer requirements.
Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex data to identify revenue leakage and improve practice profitability
