Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Billing Engineer role based in Ahmedabad. The Billing Engineer will prepare and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQ), perform quantity take-offs from drawings, and coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate billing for executed work. The role involves rate analysis, working with billing systems, validating contractor invoices, and supporting cost control and budget tracking. The Billing Engineer will collaborate with site engineers, quantity surveyors, and accounts to reconcile quantities, resolve discrepancies, and ensure timely submission of bills to clients and stakeholders. The position also includes maintaining documentation, updating billing records, and contributing to continuous improvement of billing processes.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in BOQ preparation and Quantity Surveying, with the ability to interpret drawings and specifications accurately.
- Proficiency in Billing Systems and Rate Analysis to support cost estimation, invoicing, and project financial management.
- Well-developed Analytical Skills for checking quantities, identifying discrepancies, and validating contractor and client bills.
- Good knowledge of construction practices, materials, and standard measurement methods applicable to building and infrastructure projects.
- Ability to use relevant software tools (e.g., MS Excel, billing/ERP systems; familiarity with AutoCAD or similar is an advantage).
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with project managers, site teams, and finance stakeholders.
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering or related field; prior experience in billing or quantity surveying roles will be considered an asset.
