Role Description The Billing Engineer is a full-time, on-site position based in Sattur, responsible for managing all billing activities for construction projects. In this role, the Billing Engineer prepares and reviews project estimates, measurements, and quantities, and converts them into accurate client bills and contractor invoices. The person in this role collaborates closely with project managers, site engineers, and finance teams to ensure timely submission of bills, verification of work completed, and adherence to contract terms. Daily tasks include maintaining billing records, resolving billing discrepancies, supporting audits, and providing regular billing reports to management. The Billing Engineer also helps improve billing processes and documentation standards to enhance transparency and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in construction project billing, estimation, quantity surveying, and measurement of works.
- Proficiency in billing-related software tools, spreadsheets, and basic project management applications.
- Solid understanding of construction contracts, work orders, and cost control principles.
- Attention to detail with the ability to verify quantities, cross-check documents, and identify discrepancies.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with site teams, clients, and finance stakeholders.
- Ability to organize documentation, maintain accurate records, and produce clear billing reports.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Prior experience as a Billing Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry is preferred.
- Comfort working on-site in Sattur and managing multiple projects or billing cycles simultaneously.
