Billet Analyst
Key Responsibilities (KRAs):
- Monitor daily billet inventory and maintain accurate stock records.
- Analyze production plans and forecast billet requirements based on manufacturing schedules.
- Coordinate with the Procurement team for timely procurement of billets.
- Track billet consumption and reconcile physical stock with system records.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on inventory, usage, shortages, and variances.
- Identify excess consumption, material wastage, and process inefficiencies, and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure proper allocation of billets to production orders.
- Coordinate with Production Planning, Stores, and Manufacturing teams to prevent production delays due to material shortages.
- Maintain ERP records for billet receipts, issues, transfers, and consumption.
- Monitor supplier deliveries and communicate any delays impacting production.
- Support inventory audits and stock verification activities.
- Analyze historical consumption data to improve inventory planning and optimize stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, inventory control procedures, and safety standards.
- Assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives related to material planning and inventory management.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Good knowledge of inventory management principles.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, and reporting).
- Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar software.
- Understanding of Production Planning and Material Requirement Planning (MRP).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
- High attention to detail with accuracy in reporting.
