</div><div><strong>Position Summary</strong></div><div>The <strong>Activity Leader</strong> is responsible for planning, leading, and supervising engaging enrichment activities for students in grades K–5. This role focuses on physical fitness, recreation, social-emotional learning (SEL), and hands-on enrichment while maintaining a safe, positive, and structured environment. Activity Leaders work collaboratively with site staff to support daily program operations, student needs, and family communication.<br><br>
</div><div><strong>Duties and Responsibilities</strong></div><ul>
<li>Plan, prepare, and lead age-appropriate enrichment activities aligned with physical fitness, nutrition, social skills, and SEL goals</li>
<li>Implement the Physical Fitness component, including fitness and conditioning activities and outdoor games</li>
<li>Support academic and home-learning assistance as needed</li>
<li>Create and maintain a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for students ages 5–12</li>
<li>Maintain direct supervision of students at all times to ensure safety and positive behavior</li>
<li>Redirect student behavior using positive guidance strategies</li>
<li>Follow daily schedules related to enrichment activities (e.g., science, culture, art, recreation)</li>
<li>Assist with snack distribution, site setup, and daily shutdown procedures</li>
<li>Work collaboratively with Teachers and other site staff during indoor and outdoor activities</li>
<li>Participate in weekly and/or monthly staff meetings and trainings</li>
<li>Communicate professionally with parents regarding student participation and behavior</li>
<li>Follow the established chain of command and all program policies and procedures<br><br>
</li>
</ul><div><strong>Qualifications</strong></div><ul>
<li>High school diploma or higher</li>
<li>1–2 years of experience working with children in a group setting (after-school, camp, childcare, or youth programs preferred)</li>
<li>Ability to lead group activities with energy, structure, and enthusiasm</li>
<li>Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision</li>
<li>Patient, positive, and supportive approach to student learning and development</li>
<li>Belief in the potential of all children and the ability to motivate students daily</li>
<li>Trustworthy, reliable, punctual, and professional</li>
<li>Model of integrity, ethics, and teamwork</li>
<li>Completion of the mandatory 40-hour Introductory Child Care Training<br><br>
