Principal Data Engineer (IC) – Real‑Time Data Platform (Azure)
Experience: 12+ years (4+ years on large‑scale production data platforms)
Must‑Have Skills
- ✅ Strong hands‑on experience with real‑time / streaming data systems
- ✅ Azure data stack:
- Databricks / Spark, Event Hubs, ADLS Gen2, Delta Lake
- ✅ Expertise in event‑driven architectures with focus on latency, ordering, and reliability
- ✅ Python / PySpark / SQL for production‑grade data pipelines
- ✅ Experience operating high‑availability, distributed systems in production
- ✅ Strong incident handling, RCA, and system observability experience
- ✅ Deep understanding of data consistency, failure scenarios, and performance optimization
- ✅ Hands‑on experience with PII, GDPR, security, and compliance‑driven data platforms
- ✅ Ability to communicate technical issues in business terms
- ✅ Proven individual contributor who can deliver independently in complex environments
Good to Have
- ➕ Exposure to Microsoft Fabric
- ➕ Azure Functions / custom APIs
- ➕ Lakehouse & Medallion architecture experience
