Role Description The Bid Manager – GeM Tendering is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata, responsible for managing the end-to-end bidding process on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and other relevant tendering platforms. Daily tasks include identifying suitable tenders, analyzing tender requirements, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to gather technical, commercial, and compliance information. The role involves preparing and submitting bids, drafting proposals, maintaining documentation, and ensuring adherence to all tender timelines and guidelines. The Bid Manager will track bid status, respond to clarifications, update management on bid progress, and support negotiation and post-award activities. This position requires close collaboration with sales, finance, technical, and operations teams to ensure competitive, accurate, and compliant bid submissions.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Bid Preparation and Bid Writing skills to develop clear, compliant, and competitive responses.
- Candidates should possess Bid Management and Bid Processes skills to oversee end-to-end tender activities and ensure timely, accurate submissions.
- Candidates should possess Proposal Management skills to coordinate inputs, structure proposals, and maintain up-to-date bid documentation.
- Experience with GeM tendering, public procurement rules, and government contracting procedures is highly beneficial.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management abilities with attention to detail.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in MS Office and online tendering portals; familiarity with documentation and compliance requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, commerce, or a related field; prior experience in bid or tender management is preferred.
