Role Summary
In response to strategic growth and evolving project requirements, our Client is seeking a skilled BI Engineer on a 12-month contract basis. This pivotal role offers the chance to influence key data initiatives, contribute to cutting-edge analytics projects, and work at the forefront of data technology. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust Business Intelligence solutions to support organisational decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into effective data models and visualisations.
- Implement and optimise data pipelines, ensuring data quality and integrity across platforms.
- Utilise tools such as Power BI and Databricks to develop insightful dashboards and reports.
- Engage in data modelling and data engineering tasks to enhance the organisation's analytics capabilities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve data and reporting issues promptly to minimise disruption.
- Document processes and solutions to promote transparency and facilitate future enhancements.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in Business Intelligence, Data Modelling, or Data Engineering roles, ideally as a BI Developer, BI Engineer, or Analytics Engineer.
- Strong proficiency with Power BI and Databricks or similar big data platforms.
- Hands-on experience in designing and implementing data pipelines and data warehousing solutions.
- Excellent understanding of data structures, SQL, and data transformation techniques.
- Effective communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with other BI and analytics tools or cloud platforms.
- Experience working within a fast-paced, agile environment.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or Scala.
- Previous exposure to enterprise-level data projects or regulatory compliance standards.
