As a BI Developer at Koch, you will design and deliver high-impact dashboards, scorecards, and visualization products that enable business leaders to make faster, data-grounded decisions. You will partner with analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to translate complex data into clear, actionable visual stories and help scale visualization capabilities across multiple business domains.
Our Team
The Visualization team is part of an international Analytics capability that designs, develops, and delivers visualization solutions for Koch Industries’ diverse businesses. As a KGS team member you’ll work with global colleagues across Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, Travel & Expenses, and Operational Excellence to build analytics products that drive measurable value.
What You Will Do
- Design and deliver intuitive, interactive dashboards and scorecards that communicate critical KPIs and business outcomes to decision makers.
- Translate business questions into visualization-driven stories that guide action and measure progress against goals.
- Partner with Business Analysts and Analytics Consultants to prototype, iterate, and operationalize visualization solutions.
- Optimize data models and visualization performance so dashboards scale and remain accurate across enterprise datasets.
- Ensure data accuracy and reliability by validating inputs, testing visualizations, and documenting assumptions and logic.
- Drive adoption by delivering clear visual narratives, training stakeholders, and sharing best practices across the team.
- Contribute to architecture and implementation decisions for enterprise BI platforms and role-based security models.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or equivalent.
- 3+ years of post-bachelor’s experience building and delivering BI visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik Sense.
- 2+ years of experience writing complex SQL for data extraction, transformation, and validation across disparate sources.
- Proven experience working with multiple data sources and integrating them into visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications)
- Experience with cloud analytics platforms, particularly Microsoft Fabric / Azure ecosystem.
- Tableau certification and/or Tableau Server administration experience (high-availability clusters, migrations, server management).
- Experience leading enterprise-scale BI implementations, building role-level security, and managing visualization teams.
- Familiarity with SAP HANA, unstructured data visualization, or working in a data analytics Center of Excellence (COE).
- Experience working with global teams across time zones and mentoring peers in visualization best practices.
