The main streams for which BSNL initiates direct recruitment from open market are Telecom Operation and Telecom Finance. Others are with Civil, Electrical and Architecture. Among these cadres BSNL conducts competitive exams for direct recruitment primarily for the post of Junior Telecom Officers (JTO), Junior Engineer (JE) and Junior Accounts Officer (JAO).
