Underwriter - Home Loans Key responsibilities: • Analysing and assessing mortgage applications to ensure they meet lending criteria • Evaluating applicant's financial information, property details and supporting documentation • Calculating affordability and making lending decisions • Liaising with brokers, customers and other stakeholders to obtain additional information as required • Providing an exceptional customer experience • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of lending policies and procedures • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements Key requirements: • Strong customer service skills and the ability to build effective relationships • Excellent numerical and analytical skills • The ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines • Attention to detail and the ability to spot anomalies • A flexible and proactive approach to work • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
