BGIS is currently seeking a Critical Facility Engineer (Data Center) to join the team in Cheyenne, WY.

Position Summary: 

We are seeking a self-motivated, tech-savvy Field Support Technician with knowledge of control/PLC systems and hands-on experience in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance.  This role supports critical infrastructure and requires the ability to respond to site alarms within a 4-hour window. While the hours are not mandated on site, an on-site presence is required for regular system inspections, maintenance, and 24 hour emergency response.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Monitor and respond to system alarms and alerts within a 4-hour window. 
  • Respond to client requests and concerns regarding critical infrastructure. 
  • Troubleshoot and maintain PLC-controlled systems and associated systems hardware. 
  • Provide remote and on-site technical support for controls, electrical, and mechanical systems. 
  • Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to ensure system uptime and reliability. 
  • Maintain documentation of service activities, system configurations, and incident reports. 
  • Collect and provide data to develop standard business reporting metrics for site, equipment, and account status.  
  • Schedule and perform scheduled maintenance, repairs and system upgrades as needed. 
  • Schedule and manage vendor maintenance and repairs, as needed. 
  • Assist with development MOPs (method of procedure) as necessary 

 Qualifications: 

  • Controls, electrical systems, and mechanical troubleshooting. 
  • Familiarity with PLC controls and industrial automation systems. 
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills. 
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for on-site response. 

 Preferred Skills: 

  • Experience with SCADA or building automation systems.
  • Basic networking knowledge (IP addressing, routers/switches).
  • Certifications in IT, electrical, or mechanical fields are a plus.  
  • State of Wyoming Journeyman’s electrical license 

 Work Environment & Expectations: 

  • Flexible work hours with a standard 40-hour workweek. 
  • Must be available for on-call response within a 4-hour window. 
  • Travel to site location as required.
