Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with expertise in Node.js and a passion for travel technology to design, develop, and deploy robust backend solutions for our travel and visa accessibility platform. This role requires a proactive mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the founding team to design and implement backend solutions that support the scalability and functionality of our travel platform.
• Build and maintain high-performance backend services using Node.js.
• Design database schemas, optimize queries for performance, and manage data storage solutions with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Utilize DevOps tools and practices for deployment, monitoring, and scaling of infrastructure.
• Participate in architectural decisions and development of technical strategies to achieve business goals.
• Drive projects from conception to execution, aligning technical solutions with business objectives.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Extensive experience with Node.js and server-side JavaScript development.
• Proficiency in database systems such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
• Familiarity with DevOps principles and experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Proven track record of working in a startup environment and successfully driving projects.
• Ability to adapt quickly to evolving priorities and thrive in a collaborative startup culture.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to solving complex technical challenges.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a startup environment, especially in roles contributing to scaling initiatives.
• Experience in building location-based services or platforms.
• Graduated from a reputable institution or possess equivalent industry experience.
• A demonstrated passion for travel and making visa accessibility simpler for all Indians.
