R&D Engineer

As an R&D Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and testing of innovative solutions for our products and systems. Your main tasks will include: • Requirement analysis, conceptual design, detail engineering and prototyping of new or improved components and systems • Development and implementation of digital solutions, e.g. automation, IoT, data analytics • Technical specification, configuration and testing of new developments • Performance of functional and hardware tests, documentation and release of test results • Close collaboration with colleagues from other departments, e.g. project management, sales, service To be successful in this role, you should have: • University degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, automation or a similar field • Several years of professional experience in R&D, preferably in the field of material handling systems or automation • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a structured and creative way of working • Good programming skills, e.g. in C++, Python or PLC programming • Excellent communication and teamwork skills • Fluent in English, knowledge of German is an advantage
