About the role
Betches Media is seeking a hilarious and creative freelance social media expert to manage the day-to-day operations of the Betches News Instagram account. We're looking for someone who lives and breathes news and politics and is fluent in both viral and niche pop culture and news references. The ideal candidate is a huge Betches fan, politically engaged, a creative thinker, and, above all, funny as fuck.
This role reports to the Director of Entertainment and will work cross-functionally with multiple departments, including video, web, branded, podcasts, and affiliate. You should have demonstrated strong, clean writing and skills, have experience creating and starring in Reels, be extremely organized, and be obsessed with the news cycle.
If interested, candidates should have receipts, proof, timelines, and screenshots of all relevant work experience. In other words, we want to see examples of your funniest, most viral memes, videos, and tweets (personal and/or work examples are accepted).
