Key Responsibilities
- Decide the correct battery size based on project needs like saving peak power, shifting load, backup, or grid support.
- Create and run simulation models using tools like HOMER, PVSyst, MATLAB, or Python.
- Optimise battery size (MWh), power (MW), and duration (hours).
- Design the full BESS system, including batteries, PCS, EMS, and SCADA systems.
- Prepare electrical drawings like Single Line Diagrams (SLD) and system layouts.
- Design and analyse hybrid systems (Solar + Battery).
- Prepare reports, technical specifications, BOQ, and tender documents.
- Study and compare battery types like Lithium-ion (LFP, NMC) and flow batteries.
- Ensure designs follow grid rules and safety standards (IEC, IEEE, NFPA).
- Support project execution, testing, and performance analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or RenewablevEnergy.
- 2–4 years of experience in BESS design, solar EPC, or renewable projects.Required Skills

- Power system analysis
- Solar + battery system design
- Understanding of battery performance and efficiency
- Tools: PVSyst, AutoCAD, ETAP, DIgSILENT, Python or MATLAB
Good to Have
- Experience with large-scale battery storage projects
- Knowledge of peak shaving, frequency control, and energy trading
- Understanding of Indian grid rules and renewable policies
