Role Purpose:
Reporting to the CEO, lead end-to-end delivery coordination for utility-scale and C&I Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across project development, engineering, system integration, EPCM execution, commissioning, operational readiness, technical asset management, and lifecycle optimization functions. The role is responsible for managing technical, commercial, execution, commissioning, and operational activities and interfaces across internal teams, OEMs, utilities, contractors, consultants, and clients to ensure safe, compliant, high-quality, and commercially optimized project delivery throughout the asset lifecycle.
The company provides integrated project development, system integration advisory, EPCM coordination, commissioning management, technical asset management, and lifecycle optimization services for grid connected BESS projects including standalone, co-located, AC-coupled, and DC-coupled systems. Frequent travel to project sites, OEM facilities, utilities, and client locations is required.
Key Responsibilities:
Development & Engineering
- Lead project services from development through operational handover
- Develop and manage project execution plans, internal and external resource plans, schedules, reporting structures, coordination frameworks and governance processes
- Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, deliverables, risks, dependencies, and milestone tracking
- Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and operational activities
- Review technical deliverables, engineering documentation, design changes, and interface management requirements
- Coordinate technical interfaces across battery systems, PCS/inverters, MV/HV systems, EMS/PMS/BMS/SCADA platforms, protection systems, and utility interconnections
- Coordinate utility interconnection activities and ensure compliance with grid codes and IEC/IEEE standards, utility requirements
- Coordinate integration activities related to SCADA, EMS/PPC, BMS, telemetry, cybersecurity and remote monitoring systems
- Manage multi-vendor integration risks and interface control documentation
- Support development of standard project execution methodologies, templates, and lifecycle delivery frameworks
EPCM
- Lead project coordination across project development, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operational handover activities
- Develop and monitor integrated project schedules, resource plans, execution strategies, and contractor coordination plans
- Lead project meetings, reporting, risk reviews and issue management activities
- Coordinate with contractors, OEMs, utilities, consultants, suppliers and field teams
- Monitor installation progress, quality compliance, HSE compliance, punch list management, and field modifications
- Coordinate logistics, installation sequencing, construction readiness, and commissioning readiness activities
- Coordinate FAT/SAT execution, commissioning procedures and , energization activities and performance testing
- Track testing activities, deficiencies, corrective actions and close-out actions
- Coordinate PAC/FAC milestones, operational readiness and handover activities
- Support warranty coordination and operational transition
Technical Asset Management (TAM)
- Lead SOP development, maintenance planning, spare parts management and warranty tracking
- Coordinate and support development and implementation of O&M strategies, operational efficiency initiatives, and lifecycle optimization plans
- Coordinate and support operational performance monitoring, issue tracking, and reliability improvement initiatives
- Coordinate collection and analysis of operational and commissioning data
- Coordinate operational issue resolution and field support activities
- Coordinate asset performance optimization and operational continuity initiatives
- HSE, Quality & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with applicable HSE requirements, electrical safety standards, and BESS fire safety requirements
- Coordinate emergency response planning, thermal event mitigation strategies, and operational safety procedures
- Coordinate HAZOP/FMEA reviews, risk assessments, and operational safety evaluations
- Ensure compliance with quality management systems, testing procedures, and documentation requirements
- Support implementation of lessons learned, quality improvement initiatives, and reliability enhancement programs
Technical and Commercial Support
- Track budgets, milestones, invoicing, and variations
- Support technical-commercial evaluations and change management
- Identify and mitigate project execution risks
- Support proposals, project planning, and client engagement activities
- Support development of execution standards and lifecycle delivery frameworks
- Monitor contractual deliverables and change management activities
- Support claims avoidance and interface risk mitigation

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Power Systems, Energy Systems, or Electronics Engineering
- Master’s degree preferred
- PMP / ETAP / DIgSILENT / SCADA certifications desirable

Experience
8–15 years in BESS and/or renewable energy with exposure to substations, industrial projects, construction/commissioning environments.
