Role Description The BESS Application Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for leading the application engineering and lifecycle management of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) solutions. This role involves understanding customer requirements, defining system configurations, and translating specifications into implementable application designs for utility, commercial, and industrial energy projects. The BESS Application Manager collaborates with R&D, product, manufacturing, and field teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware, software, and control systems, and to support commissioning, performance optimization, and problem resolution. Daily activities include preparing technical proposals, application documentation, and system studies; coordinating with suppliers and partners; and ensuring compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards. The role also contributes to product roadmap inputs, continuous improvement initiatives, and training for internal and external stakeholders on BESS applications and best practices.
Qualifications
- Technical expertise in Battery Energy Storage Systems, power electronics, and control systems, including familiarity with inverters, battery technologies, and energy management systems.
- Experience with application engineering for grid-connected systems, microgrids, or renewable energy integration, including system design, sizing, and performance analysis.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools such as system modeling and simulation platforms, electrical design tools, and documentation tools for technical proposals and reports.
- Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and service teams.
- Solid understanding of industry standards, safety norms, and regulatory requirements related to electrical systems and energy storage deployments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and a structured approach to technical challenges.
