About the Role
 Our firm is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented temporary Document Scanning Clerk to support a firmwide document retention project. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a legal or professional office environment while contributing to an important records management initiative.

Duration & Schedule

  • Approximately 3.5 months (May–mid-August 2026) 
  • Part-time hours (flexible scheduling within standard business hours) 

Compensation

  • Estimated hourly range: $18 – $20 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications 

Key Responsibilities

  • Disassemble physical legal files (removing staples, organizing documents) 
  • Scan high volumes of documents with accuracy and efficiency 
  • Perform quality checks to ensure legibility and completeness 
  • Save and organize digital files within NetDocuments 
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive legal materials 
  • Assist with organizing and preparing files for storage or destruction 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required 
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills 
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines 
  • Dependable, punctual, and consistent attendance 
  • Comfortable working with repetitive tasks in a fast-paced environment 
  • Basic to intermediate technical skills, including: 
    • Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) 
    • Document management systems (NetDocuments experience preferred) 

Preferred Experience (Not Required)

  • Prior office, administrative, or clerical experience 
  • Experience with scanning equipment or document management systems 
  • Exposure to legal or records management environments
