About the Role:
We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Cypress to take full ownership of the automated testing strategy for our React-based web applications. You'll be the sole QA owner, so we're seeking someone who can write clean, scalable scripts, build reliable test suites, and drive quality across the entire product lifecycle.
You'll work closely with developers and product managers to understand features, write automation scripts, and integrate your tests into the CI/CD pipeline.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Cypress
• Build a scalable and maintainable end-to-end automation test framework
• Collaborate with developers to write testable user stories and acceptance criteria
• Ensure coverage for all critical flows — functional, regression, and UI tests
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Conduct API testing and integrate it into Cypress or other tools (e.g., Postman)
• Create and maintain documentation for automation setup and test plans
• Report bugs with detailed steps and logs; follow through to resolution
Desired Candidate Profile
• 3+ years in software testing with a strong focus on automation
• Proven expertise in Cypress and modern JS/TS-based test automation
• Ability to write clean, modular, reusable test scripts
• Solid understanding of web application architecture & Dom Manipulations.
• Experience testing REST APIs and integrating those tests with frontend flows
• Strong experience working with DevTools, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum workflows and QA best practices
