We are hiring: Test Automation Engineer


About the Role:

We seek a talented Test Automation Engineer to join our team in the Semiconductor ALD Business Unit at Beneq. In this role, you will design, develop, execute and maintain test automation solutions for ALD (Atomic Layer Deposition) equipment, contributing to high-tech projects in the semiconductor field. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the automation systems used in manufacturing, driving both innovation and continuous development.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with hardware and software engineers to develop and maintain relevant test automation solutions that use hardware-in-the-loop systems to create holistic system-level quality gates for software development.
  • Conduct integration testing to ensure seamless operation of system components.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, designers, and product managers to understand requirements and design test cases accordingly.
  • Conduct performance and load testing to ensure the system meets performance criteria.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for the software systems. Report the results of QA activities with reproducible steps for bugs.
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in test automation tools and methodology and incorporate new techniques and tools as appropriate.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in software engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: 4+ years of firsthand experience in designing test cases and running test as part of more significant software development.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Proven experience in test automation frameworks and advanced knowledge of automation testing tools and procedures.
  • Great coding skills (preferably skilled in C#, C, and C++)
  • Knowledge of architectural patterns such as MVVM, Microservices, SOA
  • Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases (Postgres, MSSQL)
  • Proficiency in setting up CI/CD pipelines and hands-on experience with DevOps.


Soft Skills:

  • Strong diligence and structured working methods.
  • Excellent documentation and technical writing abilities.
  • A solid understanding of software quality assurance principles.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
